Man Fighting to Keep Dog From Being Euthanized

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — A dog is just days away from being euthanized, after a judge declared the dog “vicious.”

The decision to euthanize Beau, a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix, came after the dog reportedly killed a neighbor’s duck, chased an 8-year-old boy, and showed signs of aggression against officers.

Thousands of people have signed an electronic petition to save Beau, but those names will mean nothing unless a Dyersburg City Court Judge changes his mind.
